On October 19th, the Danish Chinese Chamber of Commerce held the 2019 Business Person Selection and Celebration Ceremony in Shanghai. The chairman of the Danfoss Group Board of Directors, Mr. Yonggen Klausen, won the "Lifetime Achievement Award", and the former president of Danfoss China, Mr. Situ Jiade, was awarded the "Business of the Year" "People" title.

         Over the years, the two have been committed to promoting the development of Danish enterprises in China and the exchanges between China and Denmark in the economic, social and cultural fields, and their achievements have been widely recognized.

     This annual selection activity started in 2007 and is one of the most high-profile activities of the Danish business community in China.

"This award is a surprise! China is Danfoss' second home market, and I have always regarded China as my second hometown," Mr. Clausen said excitedly. "Being able to participate and witness the continuous deepening of the relations between China and Denmark, and to contribute to it, is also a great blessing for me!"

Mr. Clausen was invited by the Shanghai Branch of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Denmark to attend the "Entrepreneurship" seminar and delivered a keynote speech to share the entrepreneurship of himself and the Clausen family with business people in China and Denmark. He concluded that only by keeping learning in practice, constantly trial and error and overcoming fear through failure, concentration and perseverance, while continuously expanding social relations can success be achieved.

Mr. Clausen has long shared Danfoss’ experience in China with Danish companies and related institutions and his insights on doing business in China, and has been widely recognized in political and business circles in China and Denmark. In 2018, Clausen won the "2018 Chinese Government Friendship Award" issued by the Chinese government, which is the highest honor award established in recognition of "foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to China's modernization."

During his tenure as President of Danfoss China, Mr. Situ Jiade spared no effort to promote exchanges between China and Denmark. He has served as an adviser to various government departments of the two countries, including Shaanxi Provincial Government International Senior Economic Advisor, Jinan Mayor International Advisory Committee Advisor, Zhejiang Province Haiyan County People's Government Economic Development Advisor, and the Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs Business Advisor. A few days ago, Situ Jiade won the Shanghai "Magnolia Award" and the "South Lake Friendship Award" in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, in recognition of their important contributions to the development of the two places.

Mr. Xu Yang, the new President of Danfoss China, said: "Mr. Clausen and Mr. Stuart set an example for us.
